Usva the Angel – My Teacher

Usva the Angel – My Teacher

Usva’s journey from shy kitten to spiritual teacher, mother and guide, inspiring songs, stories and the Fable Woods.

Usva the Angel – My Teacher

When Usva came to us, she was about four months old.

It was December, and during her first week or two she spent much of her time hiding somewhere inside our big old farmhouse.

And inside me, Goddess Angali chanted.

Then one evening Usva came to my bed. She lay down beside my legs and slept there.

That evening something amazing began.

I had received another teacher with a physical body, my next great teacher after Dr. Pillai.

Usva Creates Her Kingdom

First, Usva conquered the farmhouse.

Both floors became familiar territory.

Then spring arrived. The snow melted, and she began exploring outside. At first she stayed near the house, but gradually she expanded her world into the yard, the old farm buildings, the fields and the surroundings.

Step by step, she made the land around our farmhouse her kingdom.

During that first summer, whenever I was working outside, she would come to me and show me what she had learned.

When I stopped for a break, she often climbed onto my lap.

And we meditated together.

Goddess Angali was strongly present through Usva, even though I had awakened my connection with Angali many years earlier.

Something in Usva carried that energy in a way I could feel very clearly.

Usva Finds Love

Then Usva met her love.

I had seen him a couple of times before, passing through our yard. He was a strongly built male cat with black fur and white markings.

When I first saw Usva and him together, I saw love.

Usva was in her first heat, and he stayed with her for about three days.

He was strong but gentle. A true gentleman.

And eventually the first kittens arrived.

Usva had spent the evening and part of the night with me in bed. Then she gave birth to three kittens inside our home.

One of them, Jättis, stayed with us.

The other two found the people and homes they were meant to find.

And so another chapter of my education began.

Learning the Language of Cats

Through these years, Usva has taught me many things.

Most importantly, she has helped me understand more deeply that she is not simply an animal living in our house.

She is a spirit.

A spirit who came here with her own purpose, her own wisdom and her own way of teaching.

She has shown me where she hunts simply by asking me to follow her.

She has taught me to understand when she speaks aloud.

She has also taught me to understand when she says nothing.

There is a language beyond spoken words.

If I wrote down everything she has taught me, this blog would probably become a novel.

Usva and Jättis continued teaching me, revealing more and more of the spirit and nature living inside them.

The Second Litter

The second litter was born in the old cow house of a nearby farmhouse.

Upstairs, beneath the roof, there was an old room.

The evening before the birth, Usva had already shown me the place.

She spent the night with me, then went outside. In the morning she returned, ate, came beside me in bed, and I immediately noticed that something had changed.

She had given birth.

After giving morning hay to the horses, I told Usva:

We are going to the place you showed me yesterday, and we are bringing the kittens home.

She came with me.

She showed me the exact place.

There were four kittens.

I carried them home.

One died after four days, but the other three filled our lives with joy and beautiful moments until they eventually went to their own loving homes.

I continued learning the language of cats.

And I began to understand that the Goddesses were especially present with these kittens.

To my surprise, Lord Muruga was there too.

I understood that even more clearly when the next litter came.

Two Brave Kittens

Usva became pregnant again, with the same father.

This time she gave birth beside me on the bed.

Two healthy kittens came first.

When I returned after feeding the horses, she had given birth to two more, but these two were tiny.

One lived for two days.

The other lived for four.

They were not ready to remain here longer.

I buried them beside the kitten from the previous litter, near our house beneath a spruce tree.

Then Muruga came strongly from within me.

Together we created a song to honor them.

The song became Two Brave Kittens, and it can be found on LightofLion Bandcamp and SoundCloud.

The two bigger boys, Okra and Lumi, continued growing.

And of course, they became teachers too.

Life was again filled with love.

And Then Seven Came

Usva became pregnant again.

Okra had already moved to his loving home, and on the very day Lumi was preparing to leave for his new home, Usva gave birth to the first kitten of her next litter.

So Lumi was able to meet his little sister before leaving.

The first kitten was a girl, Nyyti.

There is a video about this time on my YouTube channel called Two Left and Seven Came.

Usva had already told me that she would give birth that day and asked me to stay with her.

So I did.

I spent the entire day with her. We walked outside together, and later that evening the next kittens began arriving.

Rantu.

Papu.

Mörkö.

Lila.

The whole family was present.

Then Usva took a break.

We all had a feeling that one more kitten was still coming.

The others eventually went to sleep, but I stayed with Usva. I was resting in a light sleep when she told me:

Now the sixth one came.

That kitten was Nasu.

Then another hour passed.

And another.

And to my surprise, we received a bonus.

Milo was born.

Seven kittens.

The Fable Woods Opens Its Door

As these kittens grew, they began revealing their individual personalities.

But I also began seeing something deeper.

Their inner spirits became clearer to me.

They were no longer simply seven kittens running around our farmhouse.

Stories began forming around them.

And from those experiences came my book:

The 7 Heroes of the Fable Woods.

The book has not yet been published, but its time is coming.

Six of those seven kittens are now living with the people who chose them and love them.

And I believe they continue teaching in those homes.

Lila stayed with us.

I had already understood that she would stay when she was only about two weeks old.

She crawled toward my face, curled up there, and fell asleep.

Sometimes you simply know.

Four New Spirits Arrive

Now Lila and Jättis have four new siblings.

One girl:

Lilja.

And three boys:

Myrsky, Tuisku and Routa.

Their story has only just begun.

Usva gave birth to them inside a small cave beneath large stones at the border between two fields, where trees and bushes grow.

Again, she had spent the night with me.

Again, I was connected to the energy of birth.

During the night she went outside.

In the morning she returned home to eat.

And again, I understood.

Usva and I went together to the place where she had given birth, and we brought the kittens home.

One day I began singing to them.

As I sang, I connected with their spirits.

And another story opened.

The 4 Heroes of the Fable Woods Valley.

Another book waiting to be born after the first.

You can follow their growth on my YouTube channel, mostly through Shorts, and you can read the story of their birth in my LightofLion blog Beat Is The Birth Of Life.

Animals Are Part of My Spiritual Path

Animals and nature are a very important part of my spiritual growth.

That is one of the reasons I moved to the countryside and into this old farmhouse.

Here, life surrounds us.

We also have three horses: Carinhoso, Veera and Via.

In time, an Akhal-Teke mare is also meant to join me.

And we now have our German Shepherd, Luna, after our old Mudi girl Lahja passed away.

Each animal has a different meaning in my life.

Each one teaches differently.

The horses teach through their presence and movement.

The dogs through companionship, loyalty and their own way of understanding the world.

The cats through independence, silence, instinct, observation and the mysterious invisible language they carry with them.

Nature teaches constantly.

And the Divine teaches through all of it.

We Are All Spirits

Perhaps this is the deepest lesson Usva has given me.

When we look at an animal only through its physical body, we see only part of that being.

When we begin to listen differently, another world opens.

There is character.

There is consciousness.

There is communication.

There is spirit.

There is teaching.

Usva came into my life as a small kitten hiding somewhere inside an old farmhouse.

And she became my teacher.

She became a mother.

A companion.

A guide.

An Angel in a cat's body.

And through her came kittens, songs, teachings, stories, books and countless moments of love.

So I want to end with the same thought with which I end the podcast:

We are all Spirits who came to grow on this planet Earth.

I walk my path with the Divine.

And you walk yours with your own growing understanding.

Listen.

Observe.

Feel.

Your teachers may be much closer than you think.
